Complete JEE Maths Syllabus in 3 Months

How to Complete JEE Maths Syllabus in 3 Months

Three months. That’s it, there’s no more.

Three months of focused preparation can make all the difference for a class 12 student who is in his final leg of the JEE exam or a dropper who needs to get back on the grind and increase his/her JEE maths score.

Only if you have the right plannin’ tho’.

Most students lose this time doing random study. They move around in chapters, solve problems without strategy, and edit without structure. The result? After months of work without any good results.

This type of activity has been observed many times at bestmathsteacher We have also witnessed the results of students on a structured 3-month plan! Scores jump. Confidence builds. Ranks improve.

Choosing the best maths teacher can completely transform your JEE preparation journey.

First — Understand What 3 Months Can Realistically Cover

There are about 16 chapters in JEE Maths. You’ll have about 90 days in 3 months.

This allows you to complete at least 20 full-length mock tests, repeat every chapter once and revise the high-weightage chapters twice.

But only if you stop talking about things that aren’t important. The best maths teachers in India always recommend the same thing – don’t devote the same amount of time to all chapters.

Work on 70% of the chapters (high weightage). Spend 30% on moderate ones. Do not overlook anything completely – but be ruthless about prioritizing.

Month 1 — Build the Foundation Fast

Week 1 and 2 — Calculus Core

Weeks 1 & 2 — Calculus Core

In JEE Main, there are 25-30 marks allotted for calculus. Start here.

Cover Limits and Continuity and Differentiability in Week 1. Move to Applications of Derivatives in Week 2. Don’t delve into each formula. Know the “how” before the “why.

Target: 2 hours of concept study and 1 hour of practice problems per day.

Week 3 — Integral Calculus

Most students lose marks unnecessarily in the section on integration. In this week, cover all the common types of substitution, integration by parts and definite integrals.

Don’t miss Area Under Curves. It is found in nearly all the JEE Main papers.

Week 4 — Coordinate Geometry

Straight Lines, Circles, Parabola, Ellipse and Hyperbola. This chapter group is worth 15-20 marks.

Pay attention to the explanation of each answer in terms of geometry. Coordinate Geometry is always taught visually, not just by formula, by the best maths teachers.

End of Month 1 goal: Calculus and Coordinate Geometry fully covered at concept level.

Month 2 — Cover Algebra and Trigonometry

Week 5 — Algebra Part 1

Combine Cover of Complex Numbers, Quadratic Equations and Sequences and Series. All these three are conceptually related and are seen as combined problems in JEE.

Week 6 — Algebra Part 2

The three topics are – Matrices and determinants, Permutation and Combination, Binomial Theorem. Matrices is 100% marks in JEE Main. Don’t take it lightly.

Week 7 — Trigonometry and Inverse Trigonometry

In this week, we will be working with trigonometry and its inverse. This week, we will be practicing trigonometry and inverse trigonometry.

All transformation formulas, trigonometric equations and inverse trig properties. Put all the formulas into one formula page.

Week 8 — Vectors and 3D Geometry

The chapter group is quite strong in the point of being highly tested in JEE Advanced. State the concepts of cover dot product, cross product, lines and planes in 3D, and their uses.

Goal at the end of Month 2: Full syllabus covered. At least one concept from each chapter was touched upon.

Month 3 — Revision, Tests, and Weak Chapter Fixing

During Month 3, students will revise, test and apply weak chapter fixing. In Month 3, students will revise, test, and apply weak chapter fixing.

This is the key month! The majority of students study new material in this section. Do not do that.

In the 3rd month, all of the following is for:

  • Revising any chapter at higher weightage for the second time
  • Solving previous year questions chapter-wise
  • Sitting full length mock tests every 3 days.
  • Repairing specific areas of weakness noted in the test analysis

Week 9 and 10 — Revision of Priority Chapters

Review Calculus and Coordinate Geometry. These two only give you 40+ marks in JEE Main. Never leave them on a precarious perch.

Solve the JEE Main last 5 years PYQs of each chapter. This will display you exactly what types of questions will be repeated.

Week 11 — Mock Tests and Error Log

Complete one full Mock Test every 2 days. Take equal time to analyse your mistakes after each test.

It is universally agreed upon by all the best maths teachers in India that mock tests are a must. They must be taken; simply having them is not enough. You should be aware of the rationale behind the incorrect answers.

Keep an error log simple. Write the type of question, what was your error and the correct way to do it. Please read this log before each test.

Week 12 — Final Revision and Formula Consolidation

Avoid solving new problems in the last week. Only revise.

Look through your formula diary. Re-read your error log. Reach out to Attempt #2 to 3 more mocks to ensure timing and accuracy.

Sleep well. Eat well. Have faith in the work you’ve done.

5 Rules the Best Maths Teachers Always Give

  • Rule 1: Chapter by Chapter. Do not take two chapters at the same time! Fill out one completely at a time.

Rule 2: Use of concepts instead of problems: Never start solving problems without grasping the concept first. Spends practice time.

Rule 3: PYQs cannot be bargained with: Previous year questions are the best way to learn JEE pattern than any book. Solve them throughout chapter-wise.

Rule 4 – Tests without analysis are of no use: If you take a mock test that you don’t analyse, you learn nothing. Take the time to check for mistakes.

Rule 5: Revision is better than new content: It is better to revise what you know in the last month than to learn something new.

These are the same rules we teach all students from the first class at bestmathsteacher

Can You Really Do This Alone?

A 3-month plan looks simple on paper. Executing it is a different story.

Without guidance, students slow down on difficult chapters. Doubts pile up. Motivation drops. The plan breaks within weeks.

This is exactly why having the right teacher changes everything. The best maths teachers do not just explain concepts. They track your progress, fix your weak points before they become habits, and keep you on schedule.

At bestmathsteacher.in, Virash Sir personally guides every student through live classes. Doubts are resolved in real time. Tests are analysed together. No student is left to figure things out alone.

Our students like Haresh Gupta –(AIR 25) Prerak Contractor (AIR 34) and Abhijeet Bhardwaj (AIR 96) did not crack JEE just because they worked hard. They had the right structure and the right guidance at every step.

How many hours should I study JEE Maths daily?

3 to 4 focused hours daily is enough. Split it into concept study, practice problems, and revision. Quality of study matters more than total hours.

Should I take mock tests during a 3-month plan?

Yes — from Month 3 onwards, take a full mock every 2 to 3 days. Always analyse your mistakes after every test. That analysis is where real improvement happens.

Which is the best maths teacher for a 3-month JEE crash course?
