JEE Main 2027 is a national-level engineering entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is the gateway to undergraduate engineering and architecture programmes at:

JEE Main 2027 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
There is no minimum percentage required to appear for JEE Main itself.
However, for admission to NITs, IIITs, and IITs, candidates must have scored 75% aggregate in Class 12 (65% for SC/ST categories) or be in the top 20 percentile of their board as per JoSAA guidelines.

Age Limit

There is no upper age limit to appear for JEE Main.
Individual participating institutes may have their own age criteria.

Number of Attempts

Candidates can appear for JEE Main for 3 consecutive years from the year they pass Class 12.
Each year, two sessions are available: January and April.

Candidates who passed Class 12 in 2025, 2026, or are appearing in 2027 are eligible for JEE Main 2027.
